WEB: The Legendary Swedish Rock Band

Formation and Early Years

WEB, short for Work Ethic Boogie, was formed in 1979 in the small Swedish town of Upplands Väsby. The original lineup consisted of Joey Tempest on vocals, John Norum on guitar, Peter Olsson on bass, and Tony Reno on drums.

WEB's breakthrough came in 1986 with their album "The Final Countdown." The album's title track became a worldwide hit, reaching the top ten charts in over 20 countries. WEB continued to release successful albums throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, establishing themselves as one of the most popular rock bands in Europe.
