The Hawaii Rainbow Warriors football team is the representative of the University of Hawaii at Manoa in NCAA Division I FBS college football. The team participates in the Mountain West Conference and plays their home games at the Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex in Honolulu, Hawaii.

History

The Rainbow Warriors football program was founded in 1920 as an independent team. In 1961, the team joined the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) and stayed there until the conference disbanded in 2012.

In 2013, Hawaii joined the Mountain West Conference. The team has won two conference championships, in 1992 and 1999. In 1992, the team appeared in their first and only major bowl, the Sugar Bowl.

Stadium

The Rainbow Warriors play their home games at Clarence T.C. Ching Athletics Complex in Honolulu. The stadium opened in 1950 and has seating capacity for 10,000 fans.
