Germany to Co-Host International Ukraine Recovery Conference

URC2024: A Step Towards Ukraine's Reconstruction

In a move that signals Germany's unwavering support for Ukraine, the country will co-host the upcoming Ukraine Recovery Conference (URC2024) with Ukraine in Berlin on 11 and 12 June 2024. The conference, which will be officially inaugurated by President Cassis, will bring together world leaders to discuss the rebuilding and recovery of Ukraine following its devastating conflict with Russia.

Building on Past Success

URC2024 will build upon the success of previous Ukraine Recovery Conferences, including the recently concluded URC2023 in London. The London conference, co-hosted by the United Kingdom and Ukraine, highlighted the international community's commitment to Ukraine's reconstruction and gathered pledges for billions of dollars in aid.

The URC has evolved from the Ukraine Reform Conference, an annual event dedicated to Ukraine's transformation. This year's conference in Berlin will continue to focus on rebuilding the country's infrastructure, economy, and governance while also addressing the challenges of post-conflict recovery.

As the war in Ukraine continues, the URC2024 will serve as a platform for coordinating international efforts to support Ukraine's recovery and ensure its long-term sustainability.
